An Eagle Scout hailing from Newtown, Pennsylvania, James holds numerous certifications in a variety of fields. Among his many interests, Larounis is a travel industry analyst specializing in miles, points and reward travel, and owns The Forward Cabin website, with over 30,000 social media followers, He also serves as a journalist for UpgradedPoints.com, with several millions of readers a year, where he primarily serves as an expert on the operations of several select airlines and hotel brands. His previous professional experience has supported the Frequent Traveler University, a Frequent Traveler Education Foundation project, as their Director of Marketing and Sales where he’s spoken in-depth on the loyalty programs and operations of Amtrak, American Airlines and Kimpton Hotels. Frequent Traveler University is the largest series of seminars in the world to educate consumers and professionals on traveling better using loyalty programs, while discussing hard and soft products of airlines and hotels. He’s been an organizer with MegaDo, LLC a frequent flyer charter company that provides once-in-a-lifetime behind-the-scenes aviation tours for attendees. James’ previous professional experience includes having served as a District Director with the Boy Scouts of America, providing personnel supervision over approximately 5,000 youth and 2,500 adult volunteers, with consistent growth in fundraising and membership. In addition, he holds a CPR/BLS Instructor Training Center Faculty certification from The American Heart Association, and routinely teaches courses for the community and healthcare personnel. Emergency Medical Services experience includes having served as a Captain in the City of Fredericksburg, during which time in 2012 he was the recipient of the Rappahannock EMS Council’s Outstanding EMS Administrator Award. He was selected for the Who’s Who In American Colleges and Universities from 2010-2012, is a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International and on the Board of Directors of the Stafford Rotary Club.
