10 Pictures of the Kimpton Tideline Resort in Palm Beach, FL

I recently had the chance to stay at the Kimpton Tideline Resort in Palm Beach, FL thanks to having a free night there for being a Kimpton Inner Circle member. If you’re not an Inner Circle member, you’re missing out on what I think is the best perk there is.

I flew in to Palm Beach airport, and took an Uber to the hotel which took about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I assumed the hotel was in a better area than it actually was – while it’s not a bad area, it’s a remote area. It’s right along the beach, but hardly walkable to anything worthwhile. If you’re looking to go out at night for dinner, or venture out beyond the beach during the day, you need to drive, Uber or taxi. Not saying that’s a bad thing – you should just know this going into it.

Approaching the hotel, you’ll pull into a large parking lot…pull around the back for the front entrance and valet.

Right in front of the main lobby is the pool. It’s a really gorgeous setting, and while the view of the surrounding area isn’t prime, you certainly can’t complain too much.

The pool literally sits just a few feet away from the main building.

Skipping ahead to the room, since I didn’t have a chance to take pictures of the front lobby (it was nothing special)…

I had a King bed room. Nothing too large, but great for a night stay.

There were two chairs in the room, the bed and a desk off to the side, with several power outlets (yay!). Against the front closet was the mini bar, and a small fridge.

The bathroom was nicely equipped, with a separate toilet area to the left and a large shower to the right. Very nicely sized.

The main attraction, however, was the view. I had a partial ocean view from my balcony, though it wasn’t too hard to see. The hotel seems to face another hotel on the opposite end, but look left and you’ll see what most people in Palm Beach seem to come for. 🙂

That night, I had dinner in the hotel restaurant thanks to a $50 credit. I had a crab salad, which was really terrific.

The next morning I venture onto the beach, where chairs and umbrellas are provided by the hotel. It’s a nice stretch of beach, but as I mentioned before, the hotel is a bit far away of anything else – so don’t expect any big bars, nightlife or the like within the immediate area.

My Take

Not a bad property, but primarily geared towards someone who enjoys the beach and who wanted to stay within the hotel compound. Overall, I’d probably select to stay somewhere else that is a bit more walkable to restaurants and shops.
