A short post on this beautiful Father’s Day.
Greetings from the Loew’s Philadelphia!
We all love our fathers, and today many of us have taken our dads out to breakfast, to dinner or some variety thereof. But what if we gave them the gift of traveling?
My dad loves to travel, but primarily within the US. When traveling, he prefers to drive than fly, though he enjoys the caliber of hotels I do, which is great. Now that I’ve amassed a fairly large some of points and miles, mainly through sign up bonuses and creative spending, I’ve been debating on taking my dad on a trip for this special day. While this year isn’t an option, planning for next year certainly is. I’m sure he’d love a weekend trip out west, or perhaps a weekend in the south. He has a flexible work schedule since he works for himself, and for all he’s done for me, I really want to give back with something I know we’d both enjoy.
That said, I’d love to get your feedback on any special things you’ve done for your dad, especially those that involve traveling. Have you taken your dad to some special, far-off land? Give me some ideas so I can start the wheels turning for next year!
