If you’ve aspired to travel in Delta’s First Class, and haven’t had the chance because you thought it was too expensive, here’s your chance! One catch…you need to want to travel to/from Austin, TX.
The deal is on Gilt City, and the fares are fixed with taxes and fees included. Coach fares on the same routes are probably cheaper than these First Class prices, however depending on dates, they might not be too far off, and this may be a good reason to splurge to travel up front.
- First Class from Los Angeles to/from Austin: $200, One-way; $400, roundtrip
- First Class from New York City JFK to/from Austin, $300 One-way; $600 roundtrip
Flights must be booked by July 20, 2014 and are for departures, July 10, 2014 through March 1, 2015. Blackout dates do apply: August 28 through September 2, 2014; November 20-30, 2014; December 18, 2014 through January 4, 2015. To entice more buyers, if you’re a Delta SkyMiles member, you’ll earn 1,000 Delta SkyMiles on your first Gilt or Gilt City purchase of $50+. If you’re a Medallion member, add an extra mile per dollar to your purchase, too.

This is awesome!!! I used to be a frequent flyer with NWA but ever since the merger I’ve mainly flown Continental and now United (I know I know!) I have started flying Delta again this year and hopefully can take advantage of this deal!

It’s a really good fare, which is competitive with some of the coach fares on this route. If you intent on flying between the two cities, it really can be a good deal, especially for those who know they won’t get complimentary upgrades.
