Looks like the latest round-of deep discount airfares is back…this time from the east coast of the US. Last week we saw ~$2000 airfares from the west coast, but this week east coasters have their chance to get in on the game.
ITA Matrix is pricing out availability from a number of eastern US cities to a variety of European destinations, mostly through early January.
The fares seem to be on a variety of carriers and alliances, though I’m seeing considerable availability on American/US Airways/British Airways and Lufthansa.
Don’t forget to use your British Airways AARP discount to bring down the cost by $400! Right now, British Airways is pricing many of the fares at around $1800 or so, so using the AARP discount would bring down the price to about $1400…still, not a bad deal for round-trip business class airfare across the pond.
