There’s an interesting new offer from Fancy Hands, the personal assistant subscription service, to help slash your cable bill for 30%…for free.
You can sign up for the “slashing” here, and they say they’ll reply back soon with the results.
Within about 10 minutes of filling out the online form, I received a response back: “The account already has a $20 discount and an HBO promotion. The only discount available right now would be $20 if you sign a contract for 24 months. These $20 off from the contract would replace the $20 off you already have on the account ( they do not stack up ). It would not make any difference at this point to sign a contract. I was advised to call in January as this is when the $20 off on the account expire and you could get a much better contract offer then because its the beginning of the year. A contract also guarantees the cost for those 24 months while month to month services may keep increasing due to Verizon’s policy.”
Interestingly, it looks liked someone either actually called Verizon FIOS, or someone knew the details of my account. I’m intrigued, and may actually look at using Fancy Hands in the future, especially if the service is this responsive.
Anyone else have any experience with this service and if it works?

Did you actually give them the last four digits of your SSN? I’m intrigued, but not willing to do that!

For Verizon, I didn’t need to.
