Several years ago, I had the chance to visit Venice. The group I was with stumbled upon what I now think is the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. While Venice is a huge tourist destination, and local eateries can be hard to come by, I was fortunate to find this hidden gem.
It’s very challenging to find, so I would suggest asking locals along the way, as you traverse the city’s canal bridges, to point you in the right direction.
I remember having a grilled salmon, and a shrimp pasta that was to die for. Combined with some Italian wine, and a quartet of string players, it made for the perfect Venetian evening.
While I didn’t personally take pictures of the food (which I regret not doing), I at least wanted to pass along the business card, contact information and website in hopes you may be able to experience this wonderful restaurant for yourself the next time you are in Venice.
For those of you who rely on TripAdvisor for your restaurant reviews, here’s a snapshot of what they have to say:

I really want to like your content, James, but your restaurant posts frustrate me to no end.
Last week you posted about a “must eat place in Paris” and only posted pictures. No caption on what you ordered, no comments on taste, nothing (and I asked you to too). Here you briefly mention what you ordered and post no pictures of the food.
I don’t say this to insult you, James, but you’re not Anthony Bourdain. You can’t do this on your name. Please give us more details and we’d love to give credence to what you say.
