American Express is opening up a series of Centurion Lounges in US Airports – some already open include Las Vegas, San Fransisco, Dallas and La Guardia. Future locations are in the works, included the newest opening in Miami in the first quarter of 2015.
American Express is expanding its lounge footprint by opening up a lounge in Sydney, Australia. Similar to a Centurion Lounge, though not branded as such, the space will offer an oasis to select travelers, and provide free WiFi, food and beverage offerings, as well as a quiet space to relax and work prior to long-haul flights.
Some General Information:
- The lounge will be located beside Gate 24, Terminal 1
- The lounge has a capacity of 60 passengers
- The lounge itself will be run by Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited
- The operating hours will be from 0600 through 23000
Access Requirements:
An American Express Centurion Card, Platinum Card, Business Centurion Card and Business Platinum Card provides unlimited access to the lounge provided it’s issued by American Express Australia Limited, or is an internationally-issued American Centurion or Platinum card. This is great news for Platinum Cardholders from the US, who will be able to access the lounge for free. Other select Australian Amex cards will provide complimentary access for up to 2 visits, and then will provide a fee-per-visit structure after that.
