In a mark of true patriotism, and reverence to our nation’s law enforcement, JetBlue is offering to fly two police officers from every police department across the country to the funeral of Police Officer Rafael Ramos. NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos was killed alongside his partner Wenjian Liu in an execution-style ambush last week.
The service will be held today today (12/27) 10 a.m. at the Christ Tabernacle Church in Glendale, Queens.
The airline also plans to fly Officer Liu’s relatives in from China through a partnering airline for free, though his funeral service has not been finalized.
It’s great to see an airline standing behind our men and women in blue, and offering to let fellow officers pay their respects by flying them in for the service. Well done, JetBlue.
