For many, the hotel safe serves as a way to protect their expensive valuables – both from housekeeping and possible break-ins to their room.
The one major concern is that you’d leave whatever you put in there, and check-out of the hotel, leaving your pricey goods for the next guest and the taking.
There’s a fool proof way to never forget anything in your in-room safe, and it’s a tactic I’ve used for many years.
Simply take one of your shoes (not both, but one) and place it in the safe with your valuables. When you pack up your suitcase prior to check-out, you’ll notice the missing shoe and remember to grab your goods from the safe.
If you don’t have a second pair of shoes where you can spare one for this trick, you’ll have to remember to take off one of your shoes each day you return back for the evening.
Your bound to remember your shoes when you leave, and by separating the pair, it will spark the lightbulb in your head when you realize the second shoe is missing.
Do you have any other tips for things you may forget in your hotel room?
