Not realizing there were a few folks that didn’t realize it was possible to do this, I wanted to write up a quick post on how to access an American Airlines AAdmiral’s Club without your Citi Executive AAdvantage credit card.
As a bit of background, for those that don’t know, the Citi Executive AAdvantage credit card comes with a $450 a year fee, but also with a full AAdmiral’s club membership. I have the card, and plan on keeping it for years to come as AAdmiral’s clubs are fairly convenient to where I fly.
Contrary to popular belief, you do not need the card itself to access AAdmiral’s Clubs, and the club membership can be linked to your AAdvantage account number.
Here’s what to do:
1. Visit any AAdmiral’s Club location or call Citi, and have your AAdvantage number ready.
2. Ask the representative to link your credit card and AAdmiral’s club membership to your AAdvantage account number.
3. Now, when you visit any US Airways Club or AAdmiral’s Club, all you need to do is either give your AAdvantage number, or, even easier, your boarding pass. They can scan the barcode on the pass, and pull up your membership. Now, you won’t need to carry your card with you, saving you valuable space in your wallet!

You also do not need a same day AA or US boarding pass correct?

You do, I believe.
