British Airways has partnered with the Oxford University all male Acapella group Out of Blue to come out with, what I think, is the cheesiest ad for the airline ever.
Their new version of “Club Tropicana,” in time for warmer weather, features British Airways cabin crew throughout.
According to the Managing Director of British Airways holidays:
“We know some people find the pressure of booking a family holiday quite stressful. We thought we’d lighten the mood with a little humour to remind holidaymakers we can take care of everything for them. The boys are right when they sing ‘fun and sunshine, there’s enough for everyone’; we’ve got beach holidays on sale from just £199 and like Club Tropicana, BA’s drinks are free!”
The 16 singer group traveled to Malta with BA to film the short video, and it’s being previewed on flights across BA’s network.
I can’t imagine what it would have cost to fly these 16 guys down to Malta, and a bunch of BA staffers to film this cheesy gig, but, hey, I guess if it attracts customers, so be it.
Is this the cheesiest British Airways ad ever?
