A few weeks ago, my friend Ed from Pizza in Motion phoned me asking whether I’d like to help pull a plane this Friday, all while raising money for the American Cancer Society… heck yes!
I’m really honored to be apart of this experience, and hope you’ll help me raise money for this worthy cause. I’ll be flying into Atlanta early Friday morning, and the kind folks from Delta’s corporate communications department have graciously offered to pick me up from the airport, and whisk me right to the pull site on the airport grounds.
Let me share with you the fine team of tough gals and guys to tug on this huge jet: the Global Hashtags. According to Pizza in Motion, here’s the cast of characters that will be participating in this media and blogger event:
- Scott Mayerowitz, Associated Press
- Jeanne Hoffman, Le Chic Geek
- Rene, Delta Points
- Greg, Frequent Miler
- Angelina Aucello, Just Another Points Traveler
- Matthew Klint, Live And Let’s Fly
- Melinda Danielsen, Magic Of Miles
- Michael W, Michael W Travels
- Marshall Jackson, MJ On Travel
- Ben Schlappig, One Mile At A Time
- Points, Miles & Martinis
- Stefan Krasowski, Rapid Travel Chai
- Trevor Mountcastle, Tagging Miles
- Jamie Larounis, The Forward Cabin
- Brian Cohen, The Gate
- Tommy Danielsen
- Scott Mackenzie, Travel Codex
- Seth Miller, Wandering Aramean
- Kathy Kass, Will Run For Miles
We’ve got a $1,000 goal, which has already been met — but I think we can all agree that that certainly isn’t enough to help support cancer research. If you’ve got a few bucks to spare, I encourage you to donate to the ACS in our name. Thanks in advance for your contribution! For anyone who donates $25 or more, I’ll send you a free WiFi code, good for one free GoGo inflight WiFi session on your next flight.
