The Aer Lingus Gold Circle lounge is located after security, all the way down to the left side of the terminal. Once you reach the end, take the elevators down to the second level where you’ll see several airline lounges lined up along the hallway. Following the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, the Aer Lingus lounge is located next on your right hand side.
Inside, you’ll be asked to present your boarding pass to the lounge attendant behind the desk who will record your visit and grant you access inside.
The lounge is small, but doable. There’s multiple chairs and small tables laid throughout, though there’s a clear lacking of outlets to charge devices if you need to. To find a charging place, use one of the high-top tables against the wall.
There’s a television at one end broadcasting the current news, and several more comfortable sofa chairs along the edge, though nothing to write home about. Interestingly, restroom facilities are located out in the hallway, and there’s no bathrooms directly inside the lounge.
At the back of the lounge is the food and beverage area. There’s a coffee and tea station, as well as a limited bar, stocked with basic liqueurs, beers, house wines and non-alcoholic beverages. You’ll also find a few sandwiches on display, as well as some pre-packaged snacks, though nothing to really clarify as a meal, or anything worth waiting for, to be honest.
Wifi in the lounge is reasonably fast, and you’re given a code as you check-in to log on. Departures and boarding are announced inside, so you won’t have to head down to your gate area early, though as a general rule, Aer Lingus begins boarding all flights 45 minutes early.
My Take
Overall, it’s not a bad lounge, but it’s certainly nothing aspirational. I’d rather be here than down in the crowds of the terminal, though the lounge is more similar to a contract lounge than a true airline operated lounge.

Might want to update, since this lounge no longer exists. Aer Lingus moved out of Terminsl E and their lounge followed suit.
