I just finished up a stay at the Aloft Cancun. Nice property for the price – I ended up paying $76 USD a night which I thought was a steal.
Wanting to make this a very leisurely stay, I checked out the room service menu for the hotel, and I was in total shock at the prices.
Check this out:
You see that order of Guacamole with chips? That prices out at a little over $4 USD including the service charge, which is an absolute steal.
Even better, check out the portions – they certainly didn’t skimp on the size. That thing of guacamole could have seriously fed 4 people easily.
In shock that the prices were so cheap, I felt it in order to test out the menu, naturally. Everything you see in the picture above came to about a total of $25 USD – with service charge and with tip. You would never find those prices back in the US.
Is this the cheapest room service menu you’ve seen?

Why tip? It is Mexico, not some uncivilized country where employees aren’t paid!
