Radpad is (well, was) an online service you could use to pay your rent with. Radpad charges your credit card, and then pays your landlord via a check. You’d get charged a percentage of your rent as a processing fee and to cover the credit card fee, but depending on your needs to meet sign-up bonuses, it could be worthwhile to spend the few bucks on the fee.
Well, looks like RadPad is no longer. Via this email from RadPad:
Hi James,
We wanted to let you know that effective Thursday, October 13, 2016, we will no longer be processing and paying rent paymentsAs a current RadPad rent payer, RadPad will no longer be making rent payments for you. Effective immediately, you will need to find an alternative for making your rent payments. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
On Monday, October 31, 2016, your RadPad payment account, which includes your payment information, landlord’s information, and rent payment history will be permanently deleted.
Thank you very much for allowing us to pay your rent.
Sincerely,
Team RadPad
I suspect most folks didn’t use this service other than to meet initial sign up bonuses, or to use when credit card category bonuses outweigh the processing fee.
