Hopping on the Black Friday bandwagon, Amtrak is offering 30% off on select routes, for purchase from today through Monday (Cyber Monday). Interestingly, Amtrak says this is their first Black Friday sale – I thought I remember a similar sale from last year, but I guess not! Oh, and the sale is called “Track Friday,” a spin on Black Friday. 🙂
The rates are only available on amtrak.com, so don’t call in to purchase. The website doesn’t seem to say which routes are not eligible for the sale, but it looks to include the Northeast Regional trains between DC and Boston, as well as the popular California routes as well.
I wouldn’t get too excited about the deals here as they really aren’t anything special compared with their normal sales.
Sale prices are available for one-way Coach Fares, and subject to availability. Sale prices are not available on all routes. Blackout dates apply. Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable. Others restrictions may apply.
