Three years after the merger with US Airways, American Airlines has fewer Phoenix Sky Harbor flights. Personally, I think Phoenix will still play an important role in American’s operations, even with reduced cuts. There’s many cities served from Phoenix that aren’t served from either Dallas, Chicago or Los Angeles, making Phoenix a somewhat optimal choice for western connections.

British Airways is adding additional flights out of Phoenix.
