BREAKING: Positive News for AA Upgrades and Elites in Premium Economy!

Holy crap! This is FANTASTIC news!
For awhile now, many have been wondering if American Systemwide upgrades (top tier AAdvantage members are given 4 a year, with an ability to earn up for 4 more) will be allowed to be used to upgrade from Main Cabin to Business/First, even with there being a Premium Economy cabin in between.

Thanks to the always reliable JonNYC (I have. I reason to doubt this info is incorrect), we’ve got two major developments, both of which are good news (you read that right…)

First off, Systemwide upgrades can still go from Main Cabin to Business/First, irregardless if there being a Premium Economy product in between. 

Second, if available at time of check-in, American Executive Platinums and Concierge Key members will receive a free upgrade to Premium Economy. 

Holy crap! These are POSITIVE changes, ladies and gentlemen.
