Starting this month, Amtrak is introducing free digital access to the Washington Post on all trains in the Northeast Corridor (including Northeast Regional and Acela Express) and in the midwest.
From Amtrak: To access the service, simply visit the Amtrak Connect page on Wi-Fi-enabled trains to catch up on the latest breaking news and interact with The Washington Post’s award-winning coverage.
I’ve written before about Amtrak’s onboard wifi service, but they’re slowly improving things.
My Take
This is a nice improvement to Amtrak‘s mediocre onboard service offering, through interestingly, it was one of the perks they touted for Business Class passengers, so it lessens the differentiation between Business Class and Coach Class now. Also, Amtrak’s internet can be frustratingly slow, so trying to access the free Washington Post news make take ages…
