If you often travel by air, enjoying some neat music can be somewhat challenging. With all the surrounding noise, your safest bet lays in quality noise-cancelling headphones and for good reason. In a nutshell, these headphones are designed to eliminate all noise in the background and hence, allowing you focus on your music. You now don’t have to crank up the volume to harmful levels just to listen to your favorite tracks. The effects of noise-cancelling headphones are simply amazing and more importantly safe. If you are in a quest to find the best noise canceling headphones on the market, read on to find out.

The Best Noise Canceling Headphones – Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones

If you are a true music enthusiast, you are likely aware of Bose as brand – who doesn’t actually? The renowned manufacturer has a knack for designing some of the best products in the niche and the QuietComfort 35 is certainly no different. Unlike its predecessor – the QC25 – the QC35 headphones are wireless, meaning you don’t have to worry about plugging in to a source – unless you run out of charge. Let’s have a look at some of the QC35’s main features to find out why exactly it’s ranked as the best noise canceling headphone in the game.

Main Features of the Bose QuietComfort 35 Noise Canceling Headphones

Build and Design:

By just looking at it, you can tell the QC35 is something special. The frame is made from military-grade impact resistant materials – stainless steel and glass-filled nylon – meaning you can expect it to serve you for years, if not a lifetime. To enhance aesthetics and comfort, Bose went for Alcantara – a soft covering material used by high end brands in varying niches – as the preferred headband covering. As if that’s not enough, the ear cushions pack synthetic protein leather, complete with a silicone bead for passive noise reduction.

Acoustic Noise Canceling Technology:

Some call it magic, but in real sense, it only sounds like magic. The Acoustic Noise Canceling technology adopted in these headphones is – to bluntly put – out of this world. With the flip of a switch, the QC35 headphones will cancel all passive noise as the music soars to harmless, yet effective levels. It will continuously measure and react to any noise, meaning you don’t have to worry about constant adjustments.

Battery Life:

The one thing that matters most when it comes to wireless headphones is battery life and the QC35 is right at the top. With approximately 20 hours of listening time, you can rest assured you are in safe hands – more so for those racking up the air miles. A quick 15-minute juice up will deliver an additional two and a half hours just in case you can’t get enough of it.

Other Features:

As earlier stated, the QC35 comes complete with a corded option – ideal for airplane use. Most airlines tend to restrict the use of Bluetooth headphones during most phases of the flight, meaning you need a corded set in order to plug into your in-flight entertainment system. Also, you get an integrated remote located on the right earcup. This allows you to control playback, pick and end calls, and adjust the volume in simplistic fashion. Pairing the QC35 to mobile devices shouldn’t be a hassle thanks to Bose’s free Connect app for Android and Ios. Finally, a female voice advises you how much battery life is remaining and which devices are paired to the set when you turn it on – quite thoughtful from Bose.

The Good

The QC35 packs a neat combination of quality noise canceling technology with Bluetooth features – all in a cozy, fold-up design for optimal portability. It also works in wired mode – included cord – just in case you run out of battery. Overall, it’s not that hard to see why they are the best noise canceling headphones in the game.

The Bad

It is a little heavier than its predecessor; a bargain, though, considering the ton of innovative features adopted.

COMPARISON

My Take

The QC35 is simply right at the top when it comes to Bluetooth noise canceling headphones and it’s not hard to see why going by the above features. It strikes the perfect balance of luxury and functionality – what else could you ask for?

The Bose headphones are very flimsy compared to the Bang and Olufsen models (H8/H9). But Bose is all about marketing and not about quality. Always have been.
