Best Portable Nebulizer for Travel

One of the most common medical ailments is those relating to breathing issues – whether it be asthma or another condition. Most breathing issues require some form of nebulizer for treatment, but carrying a nebulizer with you when traveling can be difficult. Let’s take a look at the best portable nebulizer, good for traveling, or anywhere else you need to carry a neb.

Reader Mary M. asks what the best portable nebulizer is on the market. Let’s answer this.

The best travel nebulizer is by far the Aura Portaneb.

Here’s what was used to come up with the best travel nebulizer:

  • Reviews – reviews on this portable nebulizer are consistently the top selling nebulizer out there.
  • Portability – this nebulizer can easily be put within a carry-on bag, checked luggage, car or wherever you’re going. It will be out of site, out of mind. It can even fit in your jacket or pocket.
  • Durability – because of this nebulizers size, it’s extremely durable to withstand daily travel. It’s even silent, which is great for use in hotel rooms
  • Versatility – you can use it over and over again with different medications onboard.

Here’s a one review, for those wanting to know more about the product:

This is a great, portable, easy to use nebulizer. It replaced an Omron micro air unit that was starting to act up. It is slightly larger than the Omron Micro Air, however it has many superior features. First among them is the medicine cup. It is large, top loading and detaches from the main unit with a press of a button. This not only makes it easy to add a medication, but it makes it easy for cleaning as well. The batteries are very easy to install through the bottom. It uses 2 AA batteries. None of the snaps or buttons that hold things in place are excessively difficult to use. This will make it easy for people who many not have the strength in their hands or dexterity they used to. There are small unit graduations on the side of the top medicine cup that are readable from the front of the unit. It’s virtually silent in its operation and nebulizes medication as quickly and as throughly as any compressed air unit. Another nice feature is that the unit shuts itself off when the contents of the medicine cup are gone. It comes with a carry case, a mouth piece and a couple of masks for over the face use, although the unit doesn’t seem best suited for that application. – DP

The best price of the Aura Portaneb has been consistently through Amazon, and this includes free-shipping, too.
