Via an internal memo, American is making some major aircraft swaps in the coming months.
The biggest is American’s Los Angeles to Sydney route which goes from a 777-300ER to a 787-900, which removes the First Class cabin. The 787-900 will feature Business, Premium Economy and Main Cabin.

Phoenix to Honolulu goes from a 757 to an A333, which has lie flat seats which is nice.
Los Angeles to Auckland takes a suspension from August to October, which is traditionally a low season there.
