Hyatt Centric Times Square in 10 Pictures

The Hyatt Centric Times Square is located directly off of Times Square in NYC by one block. It’s a phenomenal location, especially if you’re in town to see theater shows.

The front entrance was staffed by a friendly bellman.

The inside lobby was extremely small, and there wasn’t a ton of areas to sit.

The front desk was directly ahead as you walked in, though every time I approached the desk I noticed a wait of several minutes. I think with a hotel in such a desirable location they should have planned for a larger desk or more staffing.

I was upgraded to a view King room, which overlooked a portion of Times Square and the surrounding area. The hotel floors themselves are actually rather small, so this hotel isn’t as nearly as big as the Grand Hyatt, if you’ve stayed there.

The room was on the smaller side, yet very usable.

The bathroom was of decent size.

I didn’t avail myself of the complimentary Globalist breakfast since I decided to sleep in, so I can’t report on that.

Internet was reasonably fast. Housekeeping staff did knock on the door several times during the morning thinking I was checked out, not realizing I was a Globalist member with a 4p late checkout, so that was one gripe I had with this property.

Overall, not a bad hotel – good location, decent rooms…but nothing over the top. You really pay for the location here more than anything. All else being equal I actually prefer staying at the Grand Hyatt due to the club access I get there.

To get a free night at this property, check out the Hyatt Credit Card where you’ll earn enough points for a free night here after getting the card.

SELECT transforms any existing credit or debit card into a black card that unlocks VIP perks, pricing, and experiences at thousands of premier destinations around the world.

Was there a door to the bathroom? Have read some strange things about some other Hyatt centrics.
