This post was written by Dr. Timothy J., a Board Cerified Pulmonologist, and sleep apnea specialist. Tim is considered an expert in the field, and we appreciate him taking the time to provide his review of the XT Auto Machine.

The portable XT Auto Machine is designed in such a way that you can move from place to place with ease. Below are some of the factors that distinguish it from other CPAP machines:

1. Portable size

The XT auto machine is quite easy to move with from one place to another due to its small size. Hence, it is ideal for those who love traveling with minimum luggage. Reason being it can easily fit in and it comes with its own long lasting bag that has enough room to carry it and other related items thus reducing the amount of luggage one usually carries. It is also not heavy. It reduces the stress of having to move around with heavy loads. This not only ensures that moving around is much easier but keeps your assured that your health is okay.

2. Lighted display

Another advantage of this machine is the fact that it has backlight display to increase readability in low light conditions. This means that even in a dark room or in a vehicle you can still use it without causing disturbance to other passengers or people you are sharing a room with by having them switch on the lights. This ensures that you not only get your therapy comfortably but you also let other people have their peace of mind. Another reason why this is advantageous is the fact that you are able to see the details on the pressure applied and time used comfortably.

3. Customizable ramp

The XT Auto Machine fit gives you the benefit of well-positioned ramps. This makes it easy for you to change the ramp pressure thus getting enough therapy pressure. This makes it easy for you to proceed with your therapy no matter where you are located. Apart from that you also get to track time. This ensures that you neither use more nor less time but just the required time for therapy.

4. Adjustable heat humidifier

The XT Auto Machine has a heated humidifier to add more serenity to the therapy sessions. This helps in reduction of the irritable effects caused by cold or dry air to the patient. This may be the case when the patient has an allergic reaction to such conditions. Although it takes time for the patient to familiarize with the settings and how the machine works once you catch up and get hold of its techniques you are able to see the long-term benefits.

5. Power outlets

The XT Auto Machine comes along with the AC power outlets. This makes it easier to travel with. Even though it does not come with a large power supply, one does not have to worry about it running out of power. Why is this so? Due to the fact that the Ac power cords can be connected to any AC power outlets and recharged. Considering it has a voltage of between 100-240 your fears of getting it damaged are cleared. This makes it suitable for overseas movement.
