The Best Travel Bassinet: Brica Fold N’ Go

Written by Samantha J., a business traveler who flies more than 50,000 miles a year and stays in hotels for 50+ nights a year.

I bought the Brica Fold N’ Go travel bassinet when I was expecting my last child. I wish I would have had it for my other kids when they were babies. It weighs less than three pounds and is totally portable. It’s so light that I can easily carry it upstairs with the baby in it with no trouble at all. It even has a handle.

This bassinet comes with a mattress cover and fitted sheet. You don’t have to buy them separately. They both come off for easy washing. They fit snuggly but are not difficult to remove or put back on. Babies can sleep or play in this bassinet until they are fifteen to twentypounds, or until they start pushing themselves up on their hands and knees. The sides lock for safety which I absolutely love. There is no fear of it collapsing on my baby.

When I first purchased this bassinet I bought it because my husband and I travel a lot. Since having my baby though I have been using the bassinet almost every single day, even around the house. The bassinet is small so it doesn’t take up much space and the bottom is totally flat so it can be safely set on any flat surface it will fit on. It’s not recommended to set it on an elevated surface as a precautionary measure though.

I was a little hesitant to buy this travel bassinet at first, I will admit. It cost about $50.00. I am so glad I did though. When we do travel I can fold it right up and easily fit it into my suitcase. Other than that it is excellent for both travel and like I said daily use around the house. A great investment!
