Knowing the various types of suitcase sizes is integral in trying to find the perfect piece of luggage for your travels and victoria station luggage storage. Let’s take a look at the variety of sizes out there.

Wheeled Totes:

Wheeled totes serve as the most ideal products for people in need of a portable wheeled luggage that can be easily carried onto a plane in simplistic fashion. In most instances, totes are designed to aptly fit under the seat, besides being small enough to be easily lifted in and out of the overhead storage bins. Overall, they come with convenient capacity to hold a single change of garments, a few magazines, books and other small paraphernalia you would like to travel with on the plane. A perfect example is the Delsey Quilted Rolling Underseat Tote.

18 to 20 Inch Luggage:

This size is widely regarded as the international carry luggage largely due to its convenient storage design and the obvious fact that they are permitted as the standard carry-on for most international and national flights. Overall, they are perfectly designed to accommodate a sufficient amount of outfits with a pair of shoes and few toiletries to go with. They are the mainly recommended for shorter trips that last for about one or two days. In this category range, you probably want to check out the Rockland Luggage 20-Inch Polycarbonate Carry On Luggage.

21 to 22 Inch Carry-On Luggage:

This range can be regarded as the perfect size for carry-on luggage mostly for U.S. domestic flights and for good reason. You will likely spot business travelers with one of these or people headed for short weekend trips. They are spacious enough to accommodate a pair of shoes and a few attires since most have a removable garment sleeve or foldout that is ideal for basic items such as toiletries. Also, a majority of them are known to have expansion features with the capacity to allow an additional 4 inches of space – quite beneficial since most U.S. airlines have carry-on restrictions of about 22”x14”x9”, or basically 45 linear inches. Worth your investment in this size range is the Samsonite 21″ Carry-on Spinner 4-wheel.

23 to 24 Inches Small Checked Luggage:

This range serves as the most popular and ideal for travelers in the market for a relatively smaller and lighter option of luggage to check. They are perfectly designed for shorter trips lasting up to 3 to 5 days and have enhanced capacity to accommodate 2 to 3 full outfits, toiletry kits and a pair of shoes. Besides that, the removable garment sleeve has additional capacity to accommodate two additional dresses or suits. The Briggs & Riley Transcend 24″ Expandable Upright Luggage paints a perfect picture of a premium 24″ small checked product.

25 to 27 Inch Checked Luggage:

They are sizes that are gradually gaining a lot of prominence with most travelers basically because of its size of luggage to check. They are designed with enhanced capacity to perfectly accommodate multiple outfits such as shoes and toiletries. They are recommended for longer trips lasting up to 5 to 7 days and are comfortable enough to carry around. Again, the removable garment sleeve aptly enhanced with the capacity to hold up to four dresses and two thick wool suits. Worth checking out in this category is the TravelPro Maxlite3 25″ Expandable Spinner.

28 to 32 Inch Suitcases:

They are very large in size and well designed for long stays exceeding one week. Due to its enormity in size, they come adequately enhanced with tremendous capacity to carry every item that needs to be carried. However, they can prove to be quite difficult to maneuver around with more so when fully packed to capacity and may exceed the restricted 50lbs weight recommendation that is enforced by most U.S. airlines. Note: most domestic airlines have guidelines that allow a size restriction of 62 linear inches and therefore the sizes are likely to exceed that recommendation when fully expanded. However, it is the most recommended size for travelers who are seeking the largest product in regards to luggage. The perfect example of a quality suitcase in this category is the Delsey Helium Aero 29″ Exp. Spinner Trolley.
