Greetings from Disney!
Here’s an insider pro tip I found out this weekend:
To give a bit of a background, often companies will give you an incentive for showing up to a timeshare sales pitch – whether it’s in the form of a gift card, points, a free night, etc. Often these pitches last anywhere between 1-2 hours and while you’re not obligated to buy, it consumes time having to sit through it. That brings me to Disney and a bit of a “trick.”
The Disney Vacation Club will give you a $50 gift card for sitting through a sales presentation. What you don’t realize – and what I found out – is that the minimum presentation length for the gift card is only 20 minutes. So, after 20 minutes you can get up and leave and still receive the card, far less than most timeshare presentations. You’re also eligible to receive it every 6 months, so you can keep coming back at every 6 month interval for another $50 gift card. In addition, if you’re visiting a park on your stay, you can get 3 Fast Pass tickets to get you on a shorter line for rides!
Another tip I can offer is if you are planning to head to Disney to get the $50 gift card or just to go on vacation, be sure to check out the Capture The Magic Disney Crowd Calendar to find the least crowded times to go so you can get the most out of your trip.”
An easy way to save some money at Disney! I’d say 20 minutes for $50 isn’t bad – AND they’ll pick you up from wherever you are and drop you off where you want to go, too.
By the way, you can save at Disney by searching for coupons on DontPayFull or CouponsMonk. Just a friendly tip! 🙂
