Tunnelbear is a Toronto-based website which provides a VPN service. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and is used mainly by consumers who wish to browse the internet unnoticed. Tunnelbear‘s aim as a service is to provide an easy to use, simple VPN tool that anyone can utilise easily without having to have prior knowledge on what a VPN is or exactly how it works. This is the perfect service for travelers as you can mimic yourself in your home country while abroad, or another country while you’re sitting in home. I own Tunnelbear myself, and I hope you find this Tunnelbear review convincing to make this a part of your travel apps you use.

Their website itself is very easy to navigate. Everything is organised and structured in a clear, simple way, which makes it a lot easier for consumers to browse the site without anything becoming unclear or cluttered on the page. The website harbours comical graphics and illustrations of bears, in-keeping well with the name of their brand. The actual service, just like their website, is also fairly simple to navigate, making it quick to turn on and off without any issues. Tunnelbear offers over 20 different countries currently to choose to browse from. By choosing to browse from a different location, users can access a range of different features on certain sites that have location restrictions. However, unfortunately, only users who pay for the service have complete access to all of the locations Tunnelbear have to offer, but the trial provides a good start.

In terms of pricing, the plans are reasonably priced. The first plan being called ‘Little’, which is free and allows the user 500MB of browsing data. The second price is called ‘Giant’, which is priced at $9.99 per month, which allows unlimited data. The third is called ‘Grizzly’, which costs $59.88 and is paid for yearly, which is also another unlimited data plan. The ‘Grizzly’ plan is their best selling package, as it works out to be the best value for money. Overall, for unlimited browsing data, the prices are on the lower side compared to other VPN services available. Signing up and downloading the service is a relatively quick and easy process, for the free version your email address and password are suffice on getting the service up and running. Another advantage is that the service is that it is available on most devices. Tunnelbear is available for PC computers, Mac computers, iOS devices and Android devices, meaning you can use it wherever you go.

TunnelBear offers a free trial, meaning a customer can decide whether or not they like the service before going and paying for a plan. Although, I do think offering access to the full list of countries available during the free trial would be more helpful, as it offers the full experience to potential customers, who aren’t sure if Tunnelbear is the right service for them just yet. It is recommended that you try out the service before choosing a paid plan to determine if it’s the right service for you.

To conclude, Tunnelbear is all around good VPN service to use. The fact that the service is easy to use is a huge bonus, not to mention the reasonable pricing and the offer of a free trial. The service is efficient and one of the easiest VPN services to use available at the moment.
