Do you feel safe when browsing the web? I didn’t until I started using TunnelBear. TunnelBear protects its users in a variety of ways, one of which is keeping IP addresses private from any websites or hackers. An IP address is a numerical label that comes with every device that connects to the Internet, and serves two different functions. An IP address can identify the host using the device, and can accurately discover the device’s location. If a hacker has your IP address, they can track your activity across the web. TunnelBear blocks this, making it impossible for someone to find your IP address as to protect your identity.

TunnelBear, taking it a step further, does not under any circumstances track the user’s network activity. This is outlined in their privacy policy, and protects the user’s information from becoming accessed over public WiFi, ISPs (the Internet Service Provider), or any local networks. TunnelBear protects your connection with AES 256-bit encryption, ensuring that your private information never leaks.

While TunnelBear VPN limits how much people can see your information, it puts less restrictions on the user when trying to get by blocked sites or censorship. This software can “tunnel” the user to another country with less restricted Internet, and TunnelBear can reach up to twenty other countries. While travelling abroad, TunnelBear allows the user to access their email and other accounts safely while remaining connected with what is going on back home. Traveling abroad is the most vulnerable time to be hacked, and TunnelBear ensures that this doesn’t happen. TunnelBear VPN (which stands for Virtual Private Network) allows the user to get across Internet filtering. When some countries block sites such as Netflix, Hulu, or HBO, TunnelBear VPN comes in and allows the user to stream and view whatever websites they want to while travelling abroad. This includes, but isn’t limited to, streaming shows through on-demand sites, streaming online videos, or accessing certain websites that may have otherwise been blocked.

TunnelBear VPN works to get around the Internet Service Provider’s efforts to slow the user’s Internet connection, and effectively sidesteps the network gridlock. TunnelBear also ensures that the user’s ISP does not monitor or track their Internet activity. TunnelBear allows users to use the Internet while feeling secure. TunnelBear makes browsing private from anyone that may be monitoring your network, and does not under any circumstance track the user’s activity itself. TunnelBear allows the user to browse to 20 countries, making it easy to use less-restricted Internet. TunnelBear ensures that the user can work and browse confidently on the Internet, and even speeds up the Internet for a pleasant browsing experience.
