You’ve probably been in a city lately where you see some sort of mysterious building with a sign that says “Escape Game” on the door, and you were wondering what it was, right? We’ve all had that fantasy of trying to break out of a prison cell, figuring our a heist, playing along in a covert operative mission… or maybe it was trying to land an aircraft on Mars, participating in the Wild West gold rush, or simply figuring out a bunch of cool puzzles to unlock a prize. Each place features different scenarios, and the escape room properties are located across the country.
The Escape Game is the coolest interactive attraction, that’s available in a whole bunch of cities nationwide. Basically you purchase a ticket for you, your friends, or an entire group, and you participate in a chosen scenario — let’s take a prison break, for example. You’re placed into a room where you have to solve interactive puzzles and other clues to actually escape out of the cell, before the time runs out… and this isn’t just a game on paper. You’re literally placed into a cell, with clues and objects all around you that force you to think of how to get out.
Here’s the teaser for the prison break, for example:
The year is 1955. You’ve been wrongfully accused of a crime, and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Your new “home” is a cell that once belonged to an inmate who disappeared without a trace…or did he? Some claim he escaped. Others swear he was murdered by the infamously cruel warden. But no one actually knows…can you escape before you suffer the same fate?
…and here’s the teaser for the “Classified” game:
You and your team work for an international anti-terrorist organization, and have been assigned to a critical covert mission. Your objective is to stop a major international terrorist threat by gathering details on the impending attack. In this thrilling high-stakes mission, it’s up to you to get inside the head of the masterminds and infiltrate their evil plan.
Each game takes roughly 1-2 hours, and can be played in a variety of time slots throughout the day. You can come solo, with friends, or book out the entire game as part of a party or group, which is always fun.
