City Pass NY Review

CityPass is probably the most well-known ticket book provider for bundled discounts of attractions – whereby if you buy the book of tickets for a variety of attractions, you’ll save money vs,. buying those tickets individually at each of the museums or attractions. City Pass NY is the version for NYC.

New York City is by far one of the most popular locations, and, to be honest, it’s also one of the priciest locations for attractions – so it’s important to save every penny you can, and CityPass helps you do that.

Here’s what’s included:

  • The Empire State Building Experience  (retail $49)
  • American Museum of Natural History (retail $28)
  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art (retain $25)
  • Top of the Rock Observation Deck (retain $37) OR Guggenheim Museum (retail $25)
  • Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (retail $18) OR Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise (retail $39)
  • 9/11 Memorial and Museum (retail $26) OR Intrepid Air & Space Museum (retail $33)

If you were to pay full-price retail at each location, you’d pay over $211 for an adult ticket, whereas CityPass will only cost you $122, for a 42% savings. A full listing of locations, details on each, hours and directions is available here.

These are probably the most top-visited attractions in NYC, and not only will you save money, but you’ll also skip the lines at each attraction since you won’t have to purchase a ticket. I’ve purchased City Passes online many times, and have had nothing but a good experience – it’s super easy to use.

When you purchase online, you can either pick up the booklet in person at any of the attractions, or have it shipped to you. You then visit the attractions in any order, at your own pace for 9 days following the use of your first ticket. City Pass NY is definitely the way to go when wanting to visit the Big Apple, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who asks.
