American Expands Special Meal Program to Domestic Flights

American is expanding their special meal program to include domestic flights, effective January 10, a program that was previously only offered on premium and international flights.

7 of the 14 special meal options will be available for domestic ordering, including:

  • Asian Vegetarian
  • Diabetic
  • Gluten Intolerant
  • Hindu
  • Kosher
  • Muslim
  • Vegan

The meals won’t be available for order on regional flights, flights operated by an E190, flights outside of meal windows or that serve Lite Bites only, as well as those that depart from an outstation with no catering.
