I am constantly looking for fitness regimes that I can implement around my schedule, embarking upon new fitness regimes can be both educational and interesting. This time when I chose to kick up my fitness regime, I chose BodyBoss as my weapon of choice. BodyBoss is a 12-week fitness guide that can be done at any time and anywhere. The fitness guide states that you can unlock an afterburn effect and rapidly burn fat due to the guide’s focus on high-intensity exercise. This is great because it means you can get amazing results in less time. The afterburn effect allows you to continue to burn calories long after you have stopped sweating.

The Program

Each workout is a maximum of 24 minutes; therefore, it is quite easy to fit around a busy schedule. The BodyBoss guide starts with four weeks of pre-training. Surprisingly, on the fourth week of pre-training, I was incredibly sore.

The BodyBoss fitness guide is easy to follow, beginning with a simple stretching routine. By engaging in the same simple stretching routine daily, you are preparing your body to accept the workouts and prevent injury during training.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, this is when you perform high-intensity interval training (HIIT) this consists of three circuits of exercises that last seven minutes each. You have three minutes of rest in between each circuit. This gives you enough time to catch your breath before you begin the next circuit in the BodyBoss fitness guide.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, these are the recovery and cardio days where you need to get your heart rate up and your body moving for a minimum of 30 minutes. Fridays, are referred to as Power-Up days with Tabata-style workouts that only last 6 minutes. However, the BodyBoss fitness guide really works your body for those 6 minutes so it feels just as tiring as a longer workout! The Power-Up days in BodyBoss, are designed to keep your metabolism high on the weekend which are days you can take off.

The best thing about these workouts is that BodyBoss does not require a gym membership, and it does not require you to use gym equipment. The only items I used personally, were my running shoes and a mat. I occasionally used my kitchen counter when the exercises in BodyBoss required the use of an incline.

Results

Altogether the BodyBoss fitness guide is 16-weeks in length (if you include the four weeks of pre-training). Once I had finished the BodyBoss fitness guide, the results I achieved were impressive. The BodyBoss fitness guide taught me how to master push-ups, elevate my heart rate to burn fat and how to stay motivated due to how relatively quick and straightforward the exercises are each week. I lost a few inches from my waist and I am now 15 pounds lighter. The only downside to the BodyBoss fitness guide is that if you are not experienced, some of the exercises are very hard. However, I still recommend BodyBoss to anyone that wants to get started on HIIT and improve their overall fitness and health.
