Nature calls – whether it’s a budding spring, a brilliant summer, or a stunning autumn. Even winter has lots to offer. Each season brings something special to the table. When spring comes around, you can’t help but be captivated by blooming flowers and picture perfect weather. As summer rolls around you’ll be ready to jump into some crisp, refreshing water. Everyone knows fall changes the colors of the leaves, leaving its mark as the best time to be out. And winter gives you the best excuse to find a cozy lodge and sip on something warm.

To get the most out of the seasons, look no further than the Smoky mountains. Nestled across the western edge of the East Coast, the beautiful slopes of the Appalachians beckon to any looking to get out and try something new. The mountain range spans across the western edge of many states. Millions of hikers, sightseers, couples, and families alike find the mountains to be an amazing past time. Exploring them never gets dull – thousands of trails offer a new way to experience the mountains every time. There are many towns nestled within the beautiful green mountains – houses, lodges, and other sights just waiting to be seen.

If you’re interested in adventuring, hiking, sightseeing, or even just getting away from the frantic pace of the work week, you’ll want to make sure to check this list of things to do in Pigeon Forge.

Eastern Tennessee is a particularly great hotspot for outdoor activities. It neighborns the western edge of North Carolina, housing some of the best sights the Smoky mountains have to offer. The fair weather makes for easy planning. The traffic is easy going, and the prevalent outdoor culture allows for convenient access to the numerous sights and attractions the mountain towns have to offer. Eastern Tennessee provides some of the most accessible peaks of the Appalachian range.

In particular, Pigeon Forge offers a variety of outdoor options for anyone to try. There are plenty of easy, low incline loops for those wanting something to help unwind – or perhaps an easy, romantic stroll. These trails, like the Cades Cove Loop, make excellent spots to walk around with your family. Take great pictures – make great memories! They make a great place to train or get that cardio in for the day too. The gym will never feel the same again without that gorgeous view around you. There are also beautiful waterfalls to see, and swimming holes if you want to cool off and refresh yourself from a day outside.

More advanced hikers can find plenty of challenging peaks to test their mettle. This range has plenty of hikes and climbs, and worthwhile summits waiting to be reached. And, in case hiking isn’t on your to do list, look no further than the Smoky Mountain Zipline.

Take to the sky with their beautiful zipline flight, bypassing the hikes entirely! Instead, you can take in the gorgeous canopies of the surrounding mountains – an experience sure to take your breath away. The rates are more than fair, and the easy accessibility of the ziplines makes it a must – especially if you’re never tried it before! What’s more, you’ll get to learn more about what makes Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains such a beautiful place to see. And if the taste of the sky gets you craving more, why not look into their indoor skydiving?

While the gorgeous mountain peaks are sure to create lasting memories for you and your family, it’s true not everyone craves the thrill of the outdoors. And there’s nothing wrong with that. There are many things to do in Pigeon Forge, and fortunately that list absolutely includes indoor activities as well. There are many sights to see, shops, and outlets to find the right souvenirs for you. If you’re looking for a bit more of a unique experience, their dinner theatre is definitely an activity worth looking into. And, if you’re wanting to be outside – just not out in the wilderness- Pigeon Forge is home to the great amusement park Dollywood. Take on some thrilling rides or be sure to look further into their Xtreme Racing Center.

Of course, while your adventure takes you through the beautiful twists and turns of the Smoky Mountains, it wouldn’t be the perfect experience without some libations to finish your day and take the edge off. Whisky drinkers will find themselves at home with the incredible access to local mountain distilleries. Find out more about what the Tennessee whisky experience is all about.

And for those who prefer something different, you’ll find many more options, from craft cocktails to wine or even just a nice, cold beer. Junction 35 Spirits is a great place to start. They provide an extensive collection of their very own distilled spirits, in any form you could imagine. Plus, they have specials and daily deals to pair with their drinks, making for an overall affordable – and very enjoyable – one of a kind experience.

While you’re cooling off, drink in hand, there are plenty of places to grab a bite and recharge before your next mountain adventure. Grab a fresh, juicy burger – or treat yourself to a great steak. And for those who would prefer to not have meat, they have options to make sure you’re taken care of. Your preferences matter, and that’s something you’ll find throughout the Applachians.
