Review: Fairmont Boston Copley Plaza

The Fairmont Copley Plaza, just as the name says, is located directly off of Copley Plaza in Boston’s northern end. Very centrally located next to Boston’s Back Bay train station, it’s extraordinarily convenient for those taking the train into the city.

The hotel itself is about a half hour walk from sites around Faneuil Hall, and about an hour walk from Bunker Hill. Boston is a very walkable city, and there’s lots to see along the way, especially if you follow the famed Freedom Trail – a brick path taking you to most of the historic sites throughout the city.

The hotel is also located directly across from an extensive indoor shopping mall, as well as numerous coffee shops where you can grab breakfast.

Entering the hotel, you’ll notice Fairmont’s grandeur.

Immediately through the entrance is a long hallway, where you are greeted by a valet parking desk to the right, and the front and concierge desks ahead.

The lobby is filled with plenty of seating, and there’s also several gift shops, too.

Upstairs are the guest rooms For the room I had, it included two queen beds. It was nicely appointed, through I found the room on the smaller side.

The bathroom was large, and included a walk-in shower, two sinks and the toilet. For the size of the room, I found the bathroom to be well-sized.

On the sixth floor, there’s an enormous fitness center, complete with plenty of cardio and weight machines.

The Fairmont is a great property, and rates during the winter season can be rather low. Sometimes American Express has buy 2 get 1 free deals, so it’s worth checking your booking channels to find the best deal.

Located near high end shopping, restaurants and travel options, it’s a good hotel when wanting to stay in the center of the city.
