Finding different ways to save money through in-store and online shopping, has always been a hobby of mine. I came across the Dosh app while looking for ways of getting cashback from my shopping expenses. Dosh is a cashback app that is available on the Apple App store and on the Google Play store. The Dosh app works through your credit or debit card, and you simply use them when there are offers available and you receive cashback automatically. The app provides you with information on in-store cashback offers based on your location. This includes offers that are available online.
My experience with the Dosh app has been positive, as it is a no hassle cashback app, that is very easy to use. The cashback offers that are available are with popular and major brands such as Burger King, Wendy’s, Microsoft, Walmart and much more. The online cashback offers are what I use the most, as there are more offers available with popular brands online. The online cashback rates range from 3%-6% of your total purchase. I regularly make purchases on The Body Shop website; therefore, the Dosh app has given me the opportunity to receive up to 6% of my total purchase in cashback. This has been a big saving for me and has allowed me to buy my favorite products at a lower price, due to the cashback savings. For example, I like to purchase skincare products and they can be quite expensive. I regularly spend close to $50 a month on skin care products and with Dosh, I can receive $3 back in cash. The cashback is also paid through PayPal which is a quick and easy process.
The key distinguishing feature between the Dosh app and other cashback apps is that they also offer travel cashback. I frequently travel for business, therefore using Dosh to book travel directly through the app has saved me a significant amount of money each month on hotel costs. The only concern I had when I first used the Dosh app was that it is connected to my debit card. However, the transactions I make with Dosh are encrypted and my bank information is not held on the app or on their servers.
