Things I Wish I Had: Instant GoGo Login On Multiple Devices

I’m a huge fan of GoGo WiFi, and have offered many free GoGo WiFi passes before to readers. I love being connected up in the sky, and can not only get work done on the blog, but also serf the net to pass the time.

I’m a connected person. I admit it. I have my MacBook Air, my iPad, and now, my new iPhone 6 Plus. Yeah, I’m an Apple geek – say it. I love being able to see multiple things on different devices, and sometimes things are easier to access on my iPhone, while I work on my laptop.

So…that leads me to a huge gripe I have with GoGo. GoGo only allows you to sign-in to one device at a time, for security reasons (so multiple people don’t use the same ID), and so it limits usage on the plane (if everyone had 3 devices going at the same time, it would be slow and unusable). But, I like to use multiple devices.

I wish I could sign into all 3 of my devices at the same time, and that I didn’t have to enter my login information each time.

Yes, I know; this is a first world problem. Sure, it would be nice if my login information was known on each device and it remember the network, but I should probably just be glad I can actually answer email at 30,000 feet up. 🙂

That said, if I was dreaming, and if I had impact on the technology behind onboard WiFi, I’d certainly look into these changes.

What do you think? Am I overreacting, or is this an issue many of you have experienced?

In the spirit of giving away free wifi, I have a one-session GoGo pass to giveaway. This one is easy; follow me on Twitter, and I’ll select one winner tomorrow before noon and notify them by Twitter direct messaging.

You are overreacting! They only want you to use one device at a time per login. So, get another login for each of your devices so you can use gogo on them all at the same time! Yes, you’ll have to pay for each login but hey, you’re on the web! That’s the tradeoff! 🙂
