Hyatt has released updated to their award chart, effective January 22, 2015.

  • 48 hotels will move to a LOWER category
  • 22 hotels will move to a HIGHER category

Between now and January 22, you can make bookings under the current category. If you have a hotel stay after the 22nd and the hotel moves to a lower category, you’ll receive a refund for the difference.

All in all, the changes aren’t horrific, though there are some significant hotels that are shifting around:

  • Park Hyatt Maldives, Hadahaa moves to Category 7 (up)
  • Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht moves to Category 6 (up)
  • Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee moves to Category 6 (up)
  • Park Hyatt Washington DC moves to Category 5 (down)
