There’s a few details I just learned regarding Air India’s new Washington Dulles (IAD) to Delhi (DEL) service, that’s scheduled to start this July.
Ticket Counters
Air India’s ticket counters at Dulles Airport will be located between British Airways and Delta Air Lines, on the front side of the ticketing hall. As you come in off of the drop-off zones outside, you’ll walk right in to the new ticket counters. Air India will occupy 4 desks.

Flight Timings
The Dulles to Delhi flight 104 will depart at 11:00am, and arrive at 10:30am (+1 day) local time. The Delhi to Dulles flight 103 will depart at 1:15am local time and arrive at 7:15am local time. The first flights will depart on July 7, with a launch party with local, state and federal officials occurring at Dulles the morning of July 7.
Flight Operations
Ground handling will be provided by DGS, and currently Air India has not hired an office or station manager for Dulles, though it is anticipated that all ticketing and gate functions will be performed by contracted airport employees, and not actual Air India staff.
Will you be taking the new Air India Washington Dulles to Delhi service?
