I saw an interesting post on Facebook the other day from my friend Noah, who I recently met on a trip to Delta Museum in Atlanta, GA with fellow Boarding Area blogger Delta Points. It brought up an interesting question.
What is your ideal in-flight meal?
In the frequent flyer, and online community, we do a fair amount of complaining about the in-flight food offerings. Take, for example, the new changes American has made to their domestic First Class Service. So, putting aside all of our anger and complaints, what constitutes the ideal in=flight meal?
Take a chance to look at the proposed options below, and comment in the comments section about your favorite, or most wanted meal choices.
- Pre Departure Beverage
- Pre Departure Snack
- In Flight Beverage
- Amuse Bouche
- Bread Service
- Appetizer
- Soup / Salad
- Entrée Beverage

- Dessert
- Digestifs / post Entrée Beverage
- In-Flight Snack
- Pre-Arrival meal
As a thank you to you for giving your feedback, I’ll be giving away a GoGo inflight WiFi pass to one lucky reader who comments.

I think simple is actually good for domestic F. BUT, providing a consistently upscale experience is a major part of it too. On sub 2 hour flights, just provide a one-tray service, appetizer, main, and bread on one (linen-lined) tray. More than that I want to see individual courses. Best thing I like to see is warmed nuts, can’t believe AA took those away on alot of flights…
Ideal inflight meal for me would be something edible, something that looks appetizing and fresh, and something the flight attendants would eat. If the FA’s don’t wish to eat the food they’re serving, then there’s obviously something wrong with it! 😉
