Today, an issue with Amtrak‘s website prevent numerous customers from purchasing tickets. While there’s no estimate on the return of this functionality, Amtrak advises they are working to correct the issue and bring the system back as soon as possible.
Here’s what you can do in the meantime.
Call:1-800-USA-RAIL
Visit: Any Amtrak station with a ticketing office or QuickTrak machine.
I like the convenience of Amtrak in the a Northeast corridor, and hope this doesn’t snarl tomorrow’s commute for many of you. If you need to purchase s ticket, plan to arrive at the station well in advance of departure, or prepare for long hold times on the phone.
