It REALLY is dead. The Hyatt Diamond Challenge is no longer.

Yesterday, I reported the death of the Hyatt Diamond challenge. I called the Hyatt Gold Passport line to confirm, and they confirmed that the program was no longer.

However, I wanted to also reach out to them via Twitter and their contact form to see if I could get something in writing. They replied back a few moments ago and confirmed the worst – the Hyatt Diamond Challenge is really no longer.

We appreciate the overwhelming enthusiasm for Hyatt Diamond elite status. The Diamond trial promotion that began on May 1, 2014 has run its course and has been discontinued as of October 31. We very much appreciate all of our members who were able to take advantage of this promotion and have continued to stay with Hyatt throughout the year. We are currently evaluating the best path forward with these types of promotions.

While they do allude to further evaluations, it looks like the lucrative Diamond Challenge offer as it once was will no longer be available, and if it does re-appear, it will most certainly not be as lucrative as before.

I recently completed the Hyatt Diamond Challenge, and originally had some apprehensive thoughts, but am really enjoying the status now that I have it and am really glad I did the challenge when I did.
