Yesterday was not the best for the Australian flag carrier, as they had to make 3 unscheduled emergency landings, all un-related.
Perth to Karratha
Returned to Perth about 2.40pm after cabin crew noticed an unusual odor. 75 people were treated for smoke inhalation.
Dubai to Sydney
An “air conditioning fault” over the Indian Ocean forced the Captain to divert to Perth. No injuries were reported.
Sydney to Dallas
The plane on the world’s longest non-stop route experienced difficulties with in-sest power, inflight entertainment and the restrooms. Due to passenger comfort, the plane was returned to Sydney. Still functional, Qantas did not want passengers to fly in discomfort for the long duration of the flight. No injuries were reported.
