The Boeing store has some really unique gifts that are perfect for the aviation geek (#AVGeek) in your house. I’m tempted to purchase some of these unique finds for myself!
Boeing turns old plane parts into decorative household items – decorative mirrors made from 727 stator rings ($1,200); combustion chamber coffee tables ($4,500); and even galley beverage carts ($1,900).
It’s like recycling, but rather giving the historic pieces a good home.
Here are some examples of what’s for sale:
Here are some of my favorites:
Boeing is reporting that many of the items are selling fast, so in the last full week before Christmas, it’s best to order sooner rather than later. If you’re interested in purchasing the Business Class seats, for example: *NOTE: THESE SEATS ARE CUSTOM ORDERS WITH SPECIAL SHIPPING AND HANDLING RATES. ALLOW 2 WEEKS AFTER ORDERING FOR YOUR ITEM TO BE PREPARED FOR SHIPPING. Seats are used artifacts and sold “as is” without any guarantee of all original functions performing. Not for installation for in-flight use.*
The full list of what’s for sale can be found here.
By the way – if the engine coffee table doesn’t suit you and you just want to buy a 787 Dreamliner, the price tag is only $250 million. 🙂
