American Airlines has quietly increased the price of beer from the previous $6 to now $7. All beer, wine and spirits will come in at the new $7 price tag.
Using Wayback Machine, here’s a snapshot from the AA website on December 1, 2014 noting the original $6 price tag:
While I’m not sure the exact changes the change in price went into effect, it appears to have happened within the last month.
And here’s a current snapshot on January 9, 2015 noting the new $7 price tag:
Domestically, you’ll find Budweiser, Bud Light, Dos Equis and Heineken available.
To note, First Class passengers will still receive complimentary alcoholic beverages, as will American Airlines Executive Platinum and US Airways Chairman’s Preferred when seated in the main cabin.
