Free TripIt Lounge This Weekend at SXSW

March 13, 2015 by James Larounis Leave a Comment

Get award booking help and personalized travel assistance for as little as $1 a month!

TripIt is hosting a free lounge space this weekend at South by Southwest (SXSW), and you’re able to gain access with or without a SXSW pass (though, priority will be given to pass holders).

SXSW

Whatever your mood, you’re golden in The TripIt Lounge. Feeling lively? Come refuel on Austin-inspired bites and spirits all while reliving the Golden Age of Travel with some of our favorite globetrotters. Need a break? We’ll help you depart from the action and arrive at relaxation. Recharge yourself and your gadgets in first-class style in our laid-back lounge.

There’s also a panel of speakers that will be hosting various events, both on Saturday and Sunday, and it’s a great chance to meet and greet with experienced travelers.

You can register here for tickets into the lounge, and space is limited to one ticket per person.

I’ve copied the schedule below for convenience:

Saturday March 14th

9:00 – 12:00 Brunch: Join us for a leisurely brunch before you dive into all of the fun that is SXSW. Did we mention it’s free?

12:00 – 2:00 Open Lounge: Need a break from the excitement? Head on over to relax and recharge.

2:00 – 3:00 Meet & Greet with Lee Abbamonte, the youngest American to travel to every country in the world: Have a serious case of wanderlust? Interested in learning about far-flung destinations and one-of-a-kind experiences? Then Lee is your guy. Come ask him all of your burning travel-related questions, or simply soak up his stories and prepare to be inspired.

3:00 – 5:00 Happy Hour & Travel Tweet-Up: Join us for drinks and appetizers as we meet, tweet and talk about all things travel. It’s the perfect time to network with other SXSW attendees who’ve been bitten by the travel bug and chill out before the parties begin.

Sunday March 15th

9:00 – 12:00 Brunch with Brian Kelly, The Points Guy: There’s nothing like a free brunch to get you raring to go for another day of exploring all Austin and SXSW have to offer. Join the TripIt Team and Brian Kelly for some scrumptous fare while learning how to maximize your travel rewards points.

12:00 – 1:00 Meet & Greet with Johnny Jet & Natalie DiScala: This famous jet-setting couple can tell you just about everything you need to know about having a world-class travel experience. Come hang out with these two and particpate in a friendly “he said, she said” meet and greet for dual points of views on all things travel.

1:00 – 3:00 Open Lounge: Come refuel yourself and your devices during your mid-day break. You’ll need the energy!

3:00 – 5:00 Happy Hour: Mingle over cocktails and tasty appetizers with other globetrotters—it’s the perfect way to gear up for the evening’s festivities and after-hour fun, while meeting new people and recharging your devices.
