Chain hotels today, are, for the most part, fairly safe when it comes to not releasing guest’s information to unauthorized parties, though, if you’re not careful, it can lead to disaster.
In this scam, the crooks find guests about the checkout, and then send someone to the room to collect their bags, running off with what could be hundreds or even thousands of dollars of merchandise.
Pro Tip: If someone calls your rooms saying their from the hotel, or asking for more information, go ask to speak with them personally at the front desk. Hotels will rarely, if ever, ask if you’re ready to check-out…
