Okay, so get this… there’s a new website that’s pairing “beautiful people” with “generous people” all in the hopes that a mini vacation will turn a blind date into romance.
Here’s how this works:
- Users login to misstravel.com and create profiles, similar to other dating sites. Attractive folks are paired with others willing to foot the bill on an all-expense-paid trip somewhere.
- The two agree to meet, and essentially see each other, live for the first time on their travel adventure.
- The “generous” one pays for everything, though there’s no guarantee of romance, or a future. It’s simply a way to kick things off and see what happens.
Sound odd? I thought so too, but apparently real people are doing this.
From one woman who was traveling to Miami from a guy she never met from California:
I am actually going on a date with a guy and we are traveling to Miami and we are going to meet up for the first time he’s paying for this entire thing.

Here’s how Miss Travel explains the difference between “beautiful” and “generous:”
Attractive Traveler – If you want to travel for free with a generous partner, sign up as an “Attractive” member. Attractive members are adventurous and open minded people who love to travel, but lack the budget to do so alone. As such, you are looking to meet Generous members who are willing to pay for your travel, or gift you frequent flyer miles which may be redeemed for free flights on major airlines. As an Attractive member, you get to use the basic website features 100% free
Generous Traveler – If you are a man or woman seeking an Attractive travel partner whose expenses you are willing to cover, signup as a “Generous” member. Generous members are looking to travel with Attractive companions, and are willing to compensate all travel related expenses. Generous members can browse profiles for free, and pay only when they decide to communicate with an Attractive member.
It’s a way for people to meet, essentially on vacation. So, folks…if you want to be the “generous” one, I suggest racking up a few miles and points, and sending your blind date in First Class down to a 5-star hotel on the beach. 🙂
Would you consider using this dating travel service?
I wouldn’t really call this website new. It’s been around for a couple of years.
Odd? Seems like a modern twist of the age old profession. But if I were the generous ones, I’d book two one way tickets – in case there wasn’t at least one night of “romance”. If not, the attractive one can pay their own way back. Quid pro quo.
Haha! Great idea!
I met someone from that website a few years ago to see what it was all about. He was actually a fun guy from Sydney and we hit it off over lunch in NYC.
