Lately, there’s been a fair amount of hype about the new American Airlines service from Los Angeles to Sydney. While the first day of departure was announced for December 17, it was unknown as to when the tickets would go on sale.
Via a press release from American, the tickets for this flight will go on sale this Sunday July 26, 2015.
The flight will operate daily on a 777-300ER equipped with a First, Business and Economy cabin.
I would expect sAAver award availability on this flight to be limited initially, especially in the Business Class cabin. Since American does not currently fly to Australia, there are no AAnytime rates for this route. Come Sunday, we should be able to see what the charges will be.
Here is the flight schedule?
LAX-SYD
AA 73
Departs LAX at 9:50 p.m.
Arrives SYD at 7:55 a.m. two days later
SYD-LAX
AA 72
Departs SYD at noon
Arrives at LAX at 6:50 a.m. the same day
Will you be booking the new American Los Angeles to Sydney flight this Sunday?
